FAQ

I'm interested in a face to face class. What covid-19 measures have you in place?

Group classes will be held in a well ventilated room with participants sat 1 metre apart I will ask you to bring your own towel and hand sanitizer will be provided on entrance and exit. Hand wash facilities will be available. I am happy to wear a face mask or shield for the class if you wish. I will take each parents temperature on arrival. I will ask for only one parent to attend the baby class with baby to reduce the numbers.

Can the session be held at my home?

Yes private classes can be offered at your home, please contact me to arrange.

How do you plan to create friendship groups with online classes?

Online classes using video call is a great way to interact with other parents, I will encourage you to exchange numbers and am happy to organise an outdoor meet up after the classes have finished.

Do you have space for prams?

Yes the facility has enough space to hold prams

What happens if my baby falls asleep or needs to be fed during the class?

My classes are child-led. If a baby needs a feed, is crying for a cuddle or falls asleep then I will suggest stopping massage or yoga positions until the baby has woken. You can sit back and watch the strokes and positions and I will email a handout after each class for you to practice at home.

My baby has reflux and doesn't cope well with laying down. Can I still attend your class?

Yes of course I will suggest propping baby up or carrying out the massage, yoga positions with baby on your lap

I can't make one of the classes, will I be able to catch up?

Yes, face to face classes I can recap with you after the next session and online classes. I am happy to send a recording of myself and a demonstration doll showing the strokes/positions missed.

Will there be the opportunity to socialise after or before?

Yes I plan to hold the classes in a venue with refreshments and therefore this is a great venue to relax and have a chat with other parents after the class.

When is the best time to start a hypnobirthing course?

You can attend a course any time. However, its usually best to start between 20-30 weeks. In order for you to have ample time to practice the techniques.

If you are looking at booking a course after 30 weeks please get in touch to discuss. The 3hr workshop is a great condensed course that will give you lots of useful information.

I'm likely to have a caesarean. Would a hypnobirthing course still be beneficial?

Absolutely my aim is to make you feel confident and in control regardless of how you choose or end up birthing your baby.

I've had a bad experience previously can you help me?

Yes! Hypnobirthing will help you to face and release fears from a previous birth and will give you tools and techniques to have a better experience this time round. Courses can be tailored to your needs and health concerns.
